Dirty Little Secret

Are you dying to know the secret to extending the life of our hair color, how we are able to only wash twice or even once a week, or how we have freshly scented hair everyday?

 Well the dirty little secret is Pureology's new Fresh Approach Dry Shampoo and Dry Conditioner.

The Dry Shampoo will instantly freshen and cleanse your hair from root to scalp without water. It is ideal for those days when your hair is looking a little grunge, but you don't have the extra time to wash and style. Simply spray the Dry Shampoo an inch or so away from the root in several sections around your crown and suddenly you have fresh looking hair!

The Dry Conditioner is perfect for static and splitting ends and quickly restores softness and shine to your hair. It has become one of our favorites! Simply spray several inches away from your hair focusing on ends to add a brilliant shine and freshness to your hairstyle.

For the month of November just mention this blog post and receive 10% off your purchase of either the Pureology Fresh Approach Dry Shampoo or Dry Condition!

Happy Styling!

Boho Braid Tutorial

Sharing a Boho Braid Tutorial by Elise today! It's a unique alternative to a simple braid and side ponytail!

- Put hair into side ponytail.

-Divide your hair into two sections above the elastic band then loop the ponytail through and pull it towards your neck, as in step 2 and 3.

-Continue dividing and looping your hair all the way down the ponytail and tie off with an elastic after each section. Each section should be around 2 inches.

-The final touch is to pull the hair on the sides of each section to give volume and a messy boho look as instep 7

Messy Bow Tutorial

Love bows? We are in love with bows here at Suggestions! Learn how to create your own cute half up hair bow to give you a new fancy look!

{Step by Step to create a Messy Bow}
1. First take one small section of hair from each side of your head. The bigger your sections are, the bigger the bow.
2. Tie the two sections together with an elastic to create a half ponytail.  Don't pull the ends through the elastic like the first picture.
3. Split the loop in half to create two smaller loops.
4. Use your fingers to spread out the loop and push it flat against your head into a bow shape. Use bobby pins to shape each side of the bow the way you want it to lay on your head.
6. Pick up the remaining ends of the ponytail and wrap them up and around the elastic to hide it.  Secure it with bobby pins underneath. Pull it out and make it loose if you want a messy look!

Day Dreaming of Braids!

We LOVE braiding over here at Suggestions Salon. French, fishtail, dutch, twist, rope, waterfall, plain, double, ladder, plaited. We're obsessed. Braids are simple and make you look like you actually took a while to fix your hair.
Enjoy these gorgeous braided hair styles done by our amazing stylists at Suggestions..

Braids are one of the hottest hair trends and seen on catwalks all over the world during fashion week. Your hair is your best accessory and should always be treated as such!
{Here are a few things you should keep in mind when trying your own braids at home}
1. Brush your hair before you braid. Remove any knots before you start to make braiding smoother and easier.
2. If you have thick, coarse hair, use argan oil to smooth your hair to achieve neater braids.
3. If you have fine, soft hair, use products like dry shampoo or sea salt sprays to add more grip to your hair.
4. Stretch out your braids. This is the most important step people! Pull gently at the sides of your braids to make them look wider and thicker!
