Hair Tutorial Monday!

Linking up with Elise today to bring you the Holiday style for the week:

1.  Begin by separating the side sections of your hair for later.
2.  Once the side sections are out of the way, put the bottom half in a low ponytail at your nape.

3. Twist the hair around the ponytail to create a low bun at the base of your ponytail.
4.  Secure with bobby pins.
5.  Start curling the side sections in fairly tight curls away from your face. I use (Hot Tools curling iron) & Wax Blast for the product before I curl!

6&7. Continue to curl until all the hair left out of the bun has curl. Using bobby pins take 1 inch sections and loosly pin back all the curls into your bun.
8.Gently pull some small hairs out around your face to soften the front and loosen the back to give it a messier feel!

This low bun is one of our favorite holiday hair-dos! So simple and classy for fun holiday dinner parties with friends and family! Just add some dangling earings and maroon lips to top of this perfect holiday look!

Hair Tutorial Monday!

1. Start with a clean side part and split hair into two sections right next to the part.
2.Twist the front half of hair over the back half, so the back half is now in front.
3.Take another thin section (just like the first one) and add it to the front piece.
4.Now just repeat the last two steps for the remainder of the twist braid - twist the front piece over the back piece, add a new thin section of hair to the front piece, twist it over the back piece, etc.
5.Secure it by putting bobby pins up and inwards in the end of the braid.
6. Split the end of the twist into 3 sections and braid down the whole strand.
7. Tie off the end with a clear elastic and Ta-da! You have a twist-braid!!

NEW! Split End Repair

Photos:Brazillian Blowout
We are so excited to announce we are now doing Brazillan Split End Repair Treatments at Suggestions Salon! The Only In-Salon Service That Instantly Repairs, Strengthens, Seals & Protects Ends For Up To 4 Weeks in only 10 minutes!

What is it?
It is a new and innovative solution that thermally seals the ends. The treatment utilizes a Thermo-Marine Bonding System to fill in and bind weakened hair fibers, instantly mending split ends. Red Seaweed Algae, Brazilian Blowout's Super Nutrient complex, and amino acids  thermally seal onto the hair shaft, killing split ends in their tracks! What we love about it is that the hair is still bouncy and full of body. The end result is instantly repaired, stronger, healthier ends protected against future breakage.

What to Expect:
  1. Beginning with slightly damp, shampooed hair, the stylist will  dust the solution onto the bottom 2 to 3 inches of the hair.
  2. Product is combed through the ends to ensure each strand is coated with reparative nutrients to mend and seal where the cuticle is split or broken.
  3. The stylist will then blow dry the hair as smooth as possible using a round boar bristle brush.
  4. Finally, the stylist will flat iron the bottom 2 to 3 inches of the hair to lock in the product and seal the ends.
This is such an amazing way to repair split ends and still keep the hair long and healthy! No more unwanted trims! Say Goodbye to all those annoying split ends with this miracle treatment! Our stylists are offering them with a haircut or color service for $20 this week!

{Meet 2 of our new stylists- Dani & Tara!
Dani is from Pleasant Grove, Ut. She has been doing hair for 2 years and loves to exercise, go hunting with her family, and is a dancer! She went to school at Taylor Andrews and has a passion for color

Old Glam: Vintage Wave Tutorial

Lets start off the weekend with a tutorial! Today we are linking up with Jessica and Elise to bring you this vintage wave look! We cant get enough of this old glam hair and it seriously is so easy to do! Follow the simple steps below to give yourself a modern vintage wave!

  1. Start with your hair freshly blowdryed and find a good side part. This wave is not as noticable and pretty when done with a middle part.
  2. Start with curling the section above your ear. Use a 1″ barrel curling iron and spray each strand with Wax blast by Redken. 1″ may seem small to you but it’s the best way to achieve the vintage look!
  3. For steps 3, 4 and 5, you want to do the exact same thing right one right next to the other. Wrap curl the hair forward toward your face.
  4. Next switch sides and repeat. Do one curl after the other in the exact same pattern. You’ll start to notice a sort of tight curl happening.
  5. Once the curls are in place, spray with a firm holding hairspray. I like to spray after so the hairspray sits on top of the hair instead of making it heavier by cooking it into the hair.
  6. After everything cools, take the fine side of your comb and start combing through the curls. As you comb around the entire head, the curl pattern will start to join together.
  7. If you’ve curled all your sections the exact same way right next to each other, you’ll start to see a pretty  pattern form as you’re combing.
  8. Give it one last spray of hairspray and enjoy your vintage waves!
If you have a little extra time you can use clips to make the curls last longer! Follow all the steps above but clip each curl in place and let sit for 15 mins before you comb out the waves. This will give it a tighter longer lasting result!

 Happy Friday!!

Dirty Little Secret

Are you dying to know the secret to extending the life of our hair color, how we are able to only wash twice or even once a week, or how we have freshly scented hair everyday?

Well the dirty little secret is Pureology's new Fresh Approach Dry Shampoo and Dry Conditioner.

The Dry Shampoo will instantly freshen and cleanse your hair from root to scalp without water. It is ideal for those days when your hair is looking a little grunge, but you don't have the extra time to wash and style. Simply spray the Dry Shampoo an inch or so away from the root in several sections around your crown and suddenly you have fresh looking hair!

The Dry Conditioner is perfect for static and splitting ends and quickly restores softness and shine to your hair. It has become one of our favorites! Simply spray several inches away from your hair focusing on ends to add a brilliant shine and freshness to your hairstyle.

For the month of November just mention this blog post and receive 10% off your purchase of either the Pureology Fresh Approach Dry Shampoo or Dry Condition!

Happy Styling!
